Designed for a graphic design studio in Manchester’s Northern Quarter, this bespoke curved oak bench was built to provide both seating and smart storage within a compact bay window area. The sweeping form echoes the architecture of the space, while solid oak veneer gives it a warm, natural feel that complements the original floorboards. Integrated tambour doors reveal hidden storage without the need for swing space—ideal for busy studio life—while open shelving at each end adds function and rhythm. A practical piece with a strong visual identity, it reflects the studio’s creative energy while remaining calm and timeless.
