SHAPES IN SPACE
is a bespoke furniture design and making studio based in Manchester. Founded in 2020, we work with private clients, interior designers and independent businesses across the North West to create bespoke fitted furniture and custom interiors that are thoughtfully designed, carefully made.
Our work sits between design studio and workshop. Every project begins in CAD, developed through detailed drawings and photorealistic renders, then built in-house using precision CNC machining and traditional joinery techniques. We don't separate the thinking from the making.
WHAT WE DO
Bespoke Fitted Furniture
We design and manufacture architectural furniture for homes and commercial spaces. This includes full-room storage, wardrobes, kitchens, alcove units, reception desks, bar fittings and integrated display systems.
Every piece is designed specifically for its environment — built to fit, built to last.
Retail & Hospitality Interiors
We work with independent retailers, cafés, studios and boutique hospitality spaces to create functional, design-led interiors. From counters and shelving systems to full spatial layouts, we focus on clarity, durability and identity.
Specialist Commissions
Alongside fitted interiors, we take on select creative projects — including installations, event builds and cultural commissions — where design precision and craftsmanship are central.
Design & Visualisation
All projects are developed in CAD before production begins. We provide detailed drawings and photorealistic renders to resolve proportion, material and spatial relationships prior to manufacture.
This ensures clarity for clients and collaborators — and eliminates guesswork on site.
